Alessia Caputo

Clinical Associate

Alessia’s interest in psychology stems from her curiosity about the underlying factors that drive our behaviour and shape our responses to life events.

Alessia is a Clinical Associate who is passionate about helping individuals affected by mental health disorders. Alessia's experience working in case management has given her a deep understanding of systemic issues within the mental health system. Her work aligns with the Recovery Model, a strengths-based approach to mental wellness, which she integrates into her practice.

Alessia has a graduate degree in psychology from Adler Graduate Professional School and is currently working towards registration with the College of Psychologists. She works with children, adolescents, and adults and is particularly interested in supporting those dealing with anxiety, trauma, and ADHD. Alessia practices from a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive approach and integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model into her therapeutic practice.

When working with clients, Alessia values creating a safe and non-judgmental space where individuals can feel open and vulnerable. She recognizes that each individual is the expert of their own life, and her goal is to help them create a life that feels meaningful to them based on their goals and values. Alessia understands the importance of meeting clients where they are at and never pushing them past their resistance or pain.

Alessia’s passion for helping others achieve mental wellness shines through in her dedication to her clients and her commitment to her ongoing education and professional development. At EPS, Alessia is supervised by both Dr. Ed Roldan and Dr. Alma Roldan.
