PSYCHOTHERAPY

At EPS, we are a team of highly trained mental health clinicians. Our team has extensive training in providing psychotherapy treatment to children, adolescents, and adults for a variety of presenting concerns.

We provide confidential, caring, and respectful psychotherapy using research-based treatment approaches, including:
+ Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
+ Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT-informed)
+ Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT)
+ Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
+ Mindfulness Psychotherapy
These approaches have been shown to help create long-lasting positive change.

We’re dedicated to helping adults navigate life's difficulties. We specialize in providing therapy tailored specifically for you - from addressing everyday concerns or stressors to more serious issues you may be facing.

We recognize that every child and adolescent struggles with different stressors. Our strength-based approach helps them - and their families - to thrive in the face of adversity by teaching strategies that will help them to live a meaningful and fulfilling life. By discovering how best to manage their challenges (whether they are dealing with autism, anxiety, depression, anger, ADHD, or other everyday stressors), they’ll gain a wealth of new coping skills & strategies while building resilience along the way!

Our team of clinicians also provides couples and marriage counselling. At EPS, we understand that relationships can be complicated and challenging to navigate. That's why our clinicians are here for couples seeking non-judgmental support in a safe space. We want to help you take steps towards improving your connection – strengthening intimacy, building deeper emotional bonds, understanding and changing patterns of interaction, and mastering new communication skills!

We offer in-person sessions, as well as phone and video-conferencing options.

ASSESSMENTS

The psychologists at EPS provide both psycho-diagnostic and psycho-educational assessments for children, adolescents, and adults.

Diagnostic assessments play a crucial role in helping individuals reach their full potential. These thorough evaluations, led by our team of qualified, licensed clinicians, are designed to uncover factors that might be impacting an individual's learning, behaviour and social development - allowing for tailored solutions that can help unblock those barriers and open up new opportunities for growth. Examples of diagnostic inquiries include concerns with anxiety, mood, behaviour, and development. Assessments investigating Autism Spectrum Disorder are also available.

Psycho-educational assessments are invaluable in exploring an individual's intellectual, academic, behavioural, and social-emotional functioning, allowing for a greater understanding of their needs within educational and occupational contexts. These can identify barriers to learning that may prove detrimental without proper support, as well as provide access to necessary resources - such as resource support, specific accommodations, and the use of technology - which allow individuals the best chance at success as they grow and reach their goals. Examples of identifications that psycho-educational assessments may help to identify include learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and giftedness.

EDUCATION & SUPERVISION

Our goal is to empower professionals and the general population by providing educational opportunities in a supportive environment. We provide supervision and developmental training to foster growth for those in the early stages of their career.

We strive to provide educational tools and support for everyone! From aiding the general population (e.g. parent organizations and community groups) to supporting professional development at public schools, private schools, and post-secondary institutions, we offer a range of development opportunities. Our expert team also provides individual consultations when needed. Let us help unlock your potential today!

We also understand the importance of being supported during the important transition from high school to post-secondary. Our training is designed to give students an in-depth understanding of mental health concerns during this stage and equip them with essential study habits & skills needed for success in a post-secondary program.

We equip students with the necessary tools to advocate for themselves and seek help when needed in the post-secondary environment - particularly those living with a learning disability or ADHD looking to excel academically. Our team provides guidance on strategies designed specifically for individuals facing these challenges so they can make strides toward reaching their goals!
