Marta Paszucka

Psychological Associate

What sets Marta apart is her passion for learning and dedication to continuously expanding her knowledge base, which she uses to create a customized approach for each of her clients.

Marta Paszucka is a psychological associate with a passion for helping her clients gain compassionate understanding as they find their strengths. She has been working with a diverse range of client populations and difficulties since graduating in 2014 and has experience in acute, high-risk crisis situations, long-term therapy for mental health difficulties, and short-term, solution-focused counselling. Marta has worked in hospitals, community mental health centers, crisis lines, schools, and private practice, and her wide range of experiences has given her an expansive repertoire of tools that she can tailor to each client.

Marta's approach to therapy is integrative, which means that she draws from a variety of therapeutic modalities to find the most relevant, workable approach for each client. She believes in balancing acceptance and change and mixing client-centred work with symptom-busting strategies and protocols where appropriate. Marta's goal is to help clients leave therapy feeling they have something new to help them approach life's challenges.

What sets Marta apart is her flexibility and ability to put people at ease. She is passionate about finding the right tool for the specific job and modifying it when needed in order to give her clients the best tools to help them succeed. Marta believes that all approaches have something in them that could be helpful and is passionate about using these in different ways to yield the best results for everyone she works with.

Marta loves getting to know her clients on a deeper level so she can form a better understanding of their experiences and the ways in which they have impacted their lives. Building her relationships with this depth allows her to find the best methods to connect with them, helping them to grow in ways that they didn’t think they could! She likes to focus on areas such as self-criticism, shame, high expectations, perfectionism, depression, anxiety, stress, PTSD, and relational difficulties.

Marta believes that knowledge is power and has always been curious about people: what motivates us, what helps us flourish, and what makes us self-sabotage. Her ultimate goal when working with someone is to help them find their strength, reach a level of acceptance, and build optimism for a good life they can be proud of.
