Tamara is a Doctoral Associate at Etobicoke Psychological Services, providing assessment and intervention services to children and adolescents. She is committed to delivering evidence-based care and to creating a safe, supportive space where children, adolescents, and families feel understood and empowered. She works under the supervision of Dr. Ed Roldan, Ph.D., C.Psych.
Her clinical approach considers how biological, cognitive, emotional, and social factors interact within the context of the child's development. Tamara provides evidence-based interventions, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and has completed formal training in delivering Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), a parent-based treatment.
Tamara is a doctoral candidate in Clinical Developmental Psychology with a specialization in Neuropsychology at York University. She completed clinical training at The Hospital for Sick Children, York University Psychological Clinic, Confident Kids Camp Toronto, and Etobicoke Psychological Services. She has experience working with children and adolescents presenting with neurodevelopmental (e.g., ADHD, learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, autism), neurological (e.g., epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, dystonia), and emotional and behavioural concerns. Tamara also holds a PhD in Neuroscience from Western University, which provided her with unique research training that she integrates into her clinical work to better support learning, behaviour, and emotional functioning in children and adolescents.
In her spare time, Tamara enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and playing with her dog.
